Booking & Setlist

The Rock Doctor hosts (MC/DJ/KJ) Ring of Fire Lessons and Sessions and performs his own personal shows in whatever combination desired for your event. Please use the form below to book your own event today. The lessons can be individualized or with groups. The sessions are meant to showcase the talent I know is out there. The Rock Doctor is now offering music programs for after-school and community centers. Rock describes his own shows as follows:
I am a tenor vocalist in bands, solo, and in choirs, and I play saxophone and keyboards in bands, symphonies, and in solo with backup tracks. I am currently in a Pink Floyd tribute band, and yes, I can book that too. I have also appeared as a guest musician with other bands. In solo, I am able to play both vocal and non-vocal sets, and can accommodate both high energy and mellow venues. For solo gigs, the keyboard and backup tracks need slight amplification in a public space. I have featured these concerts in many venues, including night clubs (of course), open-air malls, conventions, backyards, and rallies. For any venue, I can crank it up, or tone it down as needed.
It’s no secret that my main influence is Pink Floyd, but please see the full setlist below the booking form, and listen to the selected musical performances below.

    SETLIST

My main interests in modern music are blues-based rock, folk, the British Invasion, and the progressive rock style – subcategories of the “classic rock” genre. The progressive rock style is best seen in such bands as Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Supertramp, and Rush. In the late seventies, there was a backlash against this style of music, with new attitudes such as punk rock and the “shut up and dance” return to basics. But to me this music was the zenith of rock-n-roll, with exceptional, unmatched musicianship from the likes of David Gilmour (guitar), Ian Anderson (guitar and flute), Keith Emerson (keyboards), Richard Wright (keyboards), Rick Wakeman (keyboards), John Anthony Helliwell (woodwinds), and Neil Peart (percussion).
The following is a list of bands and songs that I perform live frequently. It’s not complete, but they are my favorites. When booking a gig, please feel free to make specific setlist requests from this list:
